§ 30.31. COMPOSITION OF COUNCIL DISTRICTS.

  • The city shall have five Council Districts composed of contiguous territory, reasonably compact, and containing, as nearly as possible, an equal population according to the most recent United States census. Examination and reconfirmation or redistricting shall be performed by Council upon the reporting of each United States census or, when deemed necessary and appropriate by the Council, as the result of disproportionate population change within one or more Districts during a United States census term or the annexation of additional territory.
