§ 155.130. PARKING LOT GREEN AREA ISLANDS REQUIRED.

  • No parking lot shall be permitted in a local business district unless it shall provide for a green area island or islands with a total square footage equivalent to at least 20% of the total square footage of all parking spaces. A green area island shall be placed: (I) at each end of every single row of parking spaces; and (ii) within every single row of parking spaces whenever there are 25 or more parking spaces in a single row. No green area island shall border upon the green area buffer, except: (I) at the end of a row of parking; and (ii) within a single row of parking if there are 25 or more parking spaces in a single row. No green area island shall be less than 360 square feet. No part of a green area buffer shall be counted as part of any green area island. No parking space shall be more than 108 feet from a green area buffer or a green area island.
