§ 156.30. NONCONFORMING SIGNS.

- (A) It is the intent of this section to permit the continuation of those nonconforming signs that may exist at the time of adoption of or amendment to this chapter until they are removed but not to encourage their survival.(B) Pre-existing nonconforming signs shall be permitted to replace the sign copy as long as the sign is not enlarged, extended, structurally altered or modified in a manner that would make the sign more nonconforming. If the use of any nonconforming sign is discontinued for six months or more, any future use must be of a conforming nature as set out in this chapter.(Ord. 2004-10, passed 11-10-2004; Ord. 2017-3, passed 2-8-2017) Penalty, see § 10.99
